TechKote WA 2977 G, is a sprayable, high gloss, black water-based coating that serves as both a Direct-to-Metal primer and as a Topcoat over primer.

TechKote WA 2977 G  is not only Low VOC and fast drying with good adhesion and early water resistance, it does not contain any lead, chrome or any Hazardous Air Pollutants.

TechKote WA 2977 G is available at our Brighton, Michigan facility in 55-gallon drums, 330 and 275-gallon totes and 5 gallon pails.

Do not freeze. Store at temperature between 45-100 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not pressurize container or reuse empty container.

Mix / application & Use

Mix completely before use. Continue a slow mix while in use. TechKote WA 2799 G has a minimum film thickness of 2.5 mils (unless otherwise directed by the customer approval). TechKote WA 2799 G is an air-dry coating, however, to reduce dry time, it may be oven dried as long as part temperature does not exceed 190 degrees Fahrenheit.

May by spray applied using: Bells, HVLP, HPLV, Conventional, Airless or Air Assisted Airless spray applicators.
