Description:

TechKote 2951FEX is a low-gloss, durable, water-based rust preventive coating, adaptable for spray or dip application to sheet metal, hot rolled steel, castings, forgings and extruded metal. It is a complete water- based coating designed to protect metal substrates even when applied at low film builds. The coating is fast drying and can be air dried or force dried and does not need high temperature bake cycles. WA2951 FEX does not contribute significantly to VOC emissions, nor does it contain any heavy metals.

TechKote WA 2951 FEX is available at our Brighton, Michigan facility in 55-gallon drums, 330-gallon totes and 5 gallon pails.

Storage And Handling:  See Safety Data Sheet Before Use.

Do not freeze. Store at temperature between 45-100 degrees Fahrenheit. Do not pressurize container or reuse empty container.

Mix / application & Use

Mix completely before use. TechKote WA 2951 FEX typically is applied at a minimum film thickness of 2.5 mils (unless otherwise directed by the customer approval) using: HVLP, Conventional, Airless, Airless / Air Assisted, Electrostatic spray methods. TechKote WA 2951 FEX is an air dry coating and will be dried to handling in 20 minutes (depending on environmental conditions) To reduce dry time, TechKote WA 2951 FEX may be oven dried as long as part temperature dose not exceed 180 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow seven days for full cure.
